In my life, and I suppose in yours as well, there are changes. Transitions. Times when events in your life cause abrupt movement in one direction or another. Divorce. Marriage. Death. Going to School. Moving. Just to name a few. Some are looked forward to while others are done while in deep emotional stress.

According to the Hopi, in the beginning of time, the Creator of Mankind sent humans into the four directions. Each was given a responsibility and we call this responsibility a guardianship. Humans were instructed to learn all they could about their guardianship because there would come a time when they would come back together, and at that time, all peoples were to share what they had learned and make a Great Civilization.

My little gr granddaughter spent the night with me last weekend. We watched “Frozen”. It was my second time, and as I watched Elsa stamp her feet and freeze things, and as she got afraid, even more severe freezing storm developed. In the end, Olaf the Snowman said, “LOVE can thaw a frozen heart”. And obviously, from the story line, not only a frozen heart….. but a frozen land…..
